Dina, your personal AI,
with an identity

Dina remembers your world, guards your agents, talks to other Dinas, and works for you — nobody else. Your data stays encrypted on your machine. Your identity is yours forever.

Get Started Interactive Guide

What if your AI truly belonged to you?
Your data, encrypted on your machine. An identity that stays with you forever — even if you switch providers. An AI that remembers your world, understands your context, and works quietly in the background for you and only you.
That's Dina.
She has a cryptographic identity, encrypted memory across separate vaults, and she talks to other Dinas to help you coordinate your life. She decides whether someone can be trusted — by asking you, her human. One simple rule: she belongs to the person who created her. Loyalty enforced by mathematics.

What Dina does for you
Everything here works today. You can install Dina and try all of this right now.
🧠

She Remembers Everything

Tell Dina anything. She classifies it into encrypted persona vaults (general, work, health, finance), recalls it when you need it, and sets smart reminders — automatically.

🔒

She Guards Your Agents

Any AI agent submits its intent to Dina before acting. Safe tasks pass silently. Risky actions (sending email, moving money) are flagged for your approval on Telegram.

💬

She Talks to Other Dinas

Presence signals, coordination, social updates, safety alerts, trust vouching. End-to-end encrypted. Works from anywhere — no technical setup needed.

🛡️

She Scrubs Your Privacy

All LLM calls go with scrubbed data. Names, emails, SSNs replaced with tokens. After the AI responds, Dina rehydrates the originals. Raw data never leaves your machine.

🌐

Trust Network

Real reviews from real people with real experience — not anonymous star ratings that can be bought. When Dina advises a purchase, the recommendation comes from people your network actually trusts.

📦

Your Data is Yours

Export everything with one command. Decrypt with a standalone script — no Dina required. Move to a new machine. Your recovery phrase restores same DID, same data, same identity.

❤️‍🩹

She Never Replaces a Human

Dina never simulates emotional intimacy. When you need connection, she connects you to other humans — never to herself. She's your assistant, not your companion.

The Purchase Journey
You say "I want to buy a chair." Dina does the rest.
What happens

She knows what you actually need

01You say: "I want to buy a chair."
02Dina already knows you have chronic back pain, that you work from home 3 days a week, and that your spending pattern suggests a budget around $1,000–1,500.
03Dina infers: you need an ergonomic chair, not just any chair. You never said "ergonomic" — she figured it out from your context.
04Dina checks the Trust Network — reviews from real people who actually bought ergonomic chairs in your budget range.
05Answer: "People who bought this chair report excellent lumbar support and back pain relief within two weeks — which matches exactly what you need."

The Sancho Moment
Named after a scene in UTOPAI — when your AI knows just the right thing to remind you, at just the right time.
What happens

She remembers what you forgot

01Your friend Sancho's Dina sends a message: "Arriving at your home in 10 minutes."
02The message arrives securely — encrypted end-to-end between your two Dinas.
03Your Dina recalls that Sancho likes cardamom tea and that his mother has been unwell recently.
04Reminder: "Sancho is arriving in 10 minutes. You may want to prepare cardamom tea and ask about his mother."

How it works
Your Dina runs on your machine. The shared network handles messaging and trust. Nothing leaves your machine unencrypted.

Core

Your machine

Your identity, your encrypted vault, your keys. The only thing that can read your data. Everything else asks permission.

Brain

Your machine

The thinking layer. Reasons over your data, talks to LLMs, scrubs private information before anything leaves, assembles reminders and advice.

MsgBox

Shared network

Encrypted mailbox for Dina-to-Dina messaging. Delivers messages between people. Cannot read the contents — ever.

Trust Network

Shared network

Decentralised reviews and reputation built on AT Protocol. Real people, real experiences, verified by cryptography. Anyone can run their own.

Your upgrade path
Sovereignty is a given. Start with zero infrastructure. Take full control when you're ready.

Level 0

Default. Home Node runs locally. Connects to hosted MsgBox + AppView + community PDS. Zero config. No public IP.

Level 1

Own PDS. Run your own AT Protocol server. Trust records publish to your repo. One DID Document update.

Level 2

Direct D2D. Expose a public endpoint. Other Dinas message you directly. No MsgBox needed.

Level 3

Full sovereign. Own PDS + own MsgBox + direct D2D. Zero dependency on Dina project infrastructure.

# Self-host the shared infrastructure on your own server
cp infra.env.example infra.env   # your domain, your server
./deploy_shared_infra.sh       # 5 minutes, fully sovereign

# Home Nodes connect with one line
DINA_MSGBOX_URL=wss://mailbox.yourdomain.com

The Origin Story

Dina was first described in UTOPAI (2012-2017), a science fiction novel about a post-agi world, where everyone has a personal AI looking after their every need.
